How this shelf was built
- One bibliographic universeThe cards of twenty-six world, national, academic and trade catalogues were merged into a single store of about seven million records.
- The Syrian subsetCards were filtered with a comprehensive Syrian vocabulary (the country, its fourteen governorates, cities, rivers, notable people and demonyms).
- One shelf per languageEvery card is tagged by the language of its title; this shelf holds the English and other European-language cards.
- Serverless searchA sharded inverted index is loaded on demand, shard by shard, so the answer arrives in a fraction of a second wherever you are.
